Issue:
Application has reached the 64 GB limit. This is the maximum size of an application. From our thankfully limited experience, it can grow to about 67 to 68 GB before the application becomes completely useless.

Important: If you still have access to the mail file or application, move at least 10 GB to a new archive app as quickly as you can.

Work-around Notes:
If you can get into the app, stay in the views already indexed, and already in recent use.
In the beginning, archive a few documents at a time. Use cut-and-paste if you have to do so. After you have archived around a thousand, you should be able to start archiving 100 or so at a time. Do not switch to an un-indexed view until you have the mail file or application reduced to about 52 to 55 GB internally -- when the document properties show that you are down to 85% use.

Remember to delete Trash, when you can open it.

MW also has the Mail Migrator tool we use, we migrate one folder at a time using the tool and set a limit on the number of files we migrate w/in the tool. We start with a literal handful (5), then 10 at-a-time, and then 100 at-a-time.
It's useful, when the app is really full, and the views aren't indexed. We typically start with the ($Inbox) folder.

If you cannot open the app because of b-tree errors...

First delete any workspace icon, so that you won't open All Documents. Then try opening the app again, typically it will default to the Inbox ($Inbox) folder.

if that doesn't work, and you know the view or folder structure, use the MW Mail Migrator, limited to a specific folder to start moving documents out. If you are lucky, this will work.

If you have a backup under 64 GB, then restore it. However, backups at 64 GB or over, generally restore corrupted.

If you cannot do anything, then try running the following commands, this will likely REMOVE THE CORRUPT DATA, but that also means you will likely LOSE DATA, too. At this point, you are desperate, so you might as well.
load fixup -f database.nsf
load compact -c -d -i database.nsf

You might want to run this one, or better yet, maybe wait until you've removed some documents, since the view indexes might push the app back over the limit being created.
load updall -R database.nsf

After the compact, try to open the app or use the Mindwatering Mail Migrator app to migrate data out of the app.
